SANMED TASK FORCE is devoted regional cooperation with the Mediterranean countries with a special focus on developing relations and activities with non EU member states.  The Task Force wishes to promote scientific training and research and support collaboration in the fields of mutual interest such as joint didactical and scientific research, joint training courses, exchange of undergraduates, post graduates, PhD fellows, professors and administrative staff, joint organisation of seminars, meetings and scientific workshops, mutual use of means for scientific research, and collaboration in scientific publications and exchange of information, publications and scientific journals. TASK FORCE OBJECTIVES:

The group met for the first time in Rome on the 28 June 2005 and has decided to concentrate its attention on these themes:
- Database of the Bilateral and Multilateral Agreements with Institutions of the Mediterranean Area.
- Internship Programme for the International Relations Offices of the Mediterranean Countries.
- Courses for the administrative staff, professors and students of the Mediterranean Universities.

 

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN UNDER THE SANMED TASK FORCE

 

The Santander Group is co-founder of the EuroMed Permanent University Forum.  The EPUF supports progress and enhancement of a EuroMed Area of higher Education through harmonisation and cooperation of education and training systems. The Santander group is now member of the Executive Committee of EPUF.
