EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) will be held in July and will take place in Barcelona for its 3rd edition.

These forums, which in the past have gathered more than 2200 participants, including 500 journalists from more than 60 countries, provide the European and the international science communities with an open platform for the debate and communication of science and technology and the main objective of strengthening the links between Science and Society.

 

 

 

ESOF represents an opportunity to:

The main elements for ESOF 2008 Barcelona are the scientific programme, the career programme, the exhibition programme, the outreach activities and the business programme. It also includes an attractive cultural and social programme and a set of satellite events with four plenary sessions in the programme.

All lectures and discussions will be held in English. Outreach Activities and the Research and Innovation Exhibition are open to the public.

Venues and Dates

ESOF2008 will take place in Montjuïc, the historic and modernized venue of Fira de Barcelona from 18th to the 22nd of July 2008.

More than 3.000 participants are expected to attend the sessions programmed at ESOF2008.
