08/12/2008 SANLAT Meeting - Outcomes overviewThe SANLAT Task Force Meeting took place in Brussels, on December 2, 2008. The Santander Group members shared best practices in project management within the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window framework, and planned a new strategy for oncoming calls.
On December 2, 2008, the SG Secretariat Office hosted the SANLAT Task Force Meeting, which represented a great opportunity for SG Members to follow up on recent progress and developments of co-operation twards Latin America, while sharing good practices and successful experience from past endeavours, and planning out a new strategy for forthcoming calls from the European institutions.
The Meeting also hosted the exhaustive presentation delivered by Mr. Joachim Fronia, Head of Unit for the ERASMUS Mundus External Co-Operation Window at the European Commission, about current developments of European Commission’s funding opportunities under the Erasmus Mundus External Co-operation Window. The Meeting also gave the opportunity to introduce our members to the new proposals under the Alfa III Programme: the PASCAL proposal, presented by SG Secretary General Prof. Victor de Kosinsky, and the Alfa Observatory proposal, introduced by Prof. Alberto Sereno, coordinator of the SANLAT Task Force and director of the AlBan Programme Office.
Both slideshow presentations are available online: The Sanlat Meeting participants and the SG Secretariat agreed to follow-up the coming calls for proposals. The SG members will be informed on the institutions volunteering to co-ordinate the partnerships for the Latin American lots and also declarations of entering into partnerships will be monitored.
