EPUF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING AT THE SG SECRETARIAT

The Executive Committee of the Euromed Permanent University Forum that took place in the Santander Group Office in Brussels on 22nd January this year. We hosted representatives from non-EU Mediterranean countries such as Hassan Nadir Kheirallah University of Alexandria, (Egypt), University of Mohamed V, Agdal (Morocco), University of Tunis, (Tunisia), University Saint Joseph University of Beyrouth (Lebanon), Prrincess Sumayya University, Jordan Tampere Polytechnic.The European partners were represented by the University of Rovira i Virgili in Spain, University of Applied Sciences in Finland, University of Foggia in Italy, and the European Universities Networks the Compostella Group and the Santander Group.

The EPUF Executive Committee members discussed a calendar of activities and approved the overall budget for 2009. The Santander Group has been involved in two Task Forces on the Quality Assurance and Mobility. These working groups have been assigned to organisation of thematic seminars in 2009. The fist one on Harmonisation and quality assurance scheduled for October will be co-ordinated by the Lebanese International University (Lebanon). The other on Mobility in the Mediterranean Region will be co-ordinated by the University of Cadiz in Spain. The Santander Group has been invited to put forward experts from our member universities who could contribute to the programmes of the seminars.
